Wellington Rodrigues

A professional football player from Brazil, Wellington Pereira Rodrigues, also known as Gum, plays as a defender. Gum began his played career at the Marilia Atletico Clube youth academy in 2002. For two seasons, he showed his capability and was called into the first team in 2004. From 2004 to 2008, Gum played on-and-off for Marilia, even spending one season on loan to Internacional, in 2006.

At the end of his contract, Gum moved to Ponte Preta and played 15 games across two seasons, scoring twice. In 2009, towards the end of the year, Gum moved to Fluminense where he jumped into the first team and, since then, has been playing regularly for the side. He has played 74 times in the league and scored 7 goals, winning the 2010 Campeonato Brasileiro along the way.
