Maranhao Wenderson
A professional football player from Brazil, Wenderson da Silva Soares, also known as Maranhao, plays as a striker. After beginning his youth career at Cruzeiro, Maranhao moved to Itauna in 2008 on loan. In 2010, after returning from the loan and playing the Cruzeiro youth team again, Maranhao broke into the first team squad at the club. The promise he showed, while playing for the reserve team, got him into Europe with a chance to play for BK Hacken, in Sweden.
Throughout 2011 and the beginning of 2012, Maranhao spent his time on the reserve team, making just five appearances for the first team. After failing to make his mark in the team, Maranhao returned to Brazil and re-signed with Cruzeiro where he continues to play with the reserve squad.
