A professional football player from Brazil, Anderson Sebastiao Cardoso, or Chicao, plays as a defender. In 1998, Chicao began his playing career at the Mogi Mirim youth academy. For the next four seasons, he worked on his abilities and in 2003, made his debut for the first team. After a season with Mogi Mirim, in the first team, Chicao made his to Portuguesa Santista, in 2004 before moving onto America Clube in 2005.

Later, in 2005 itself, Chicao would be signed up by Juventude and played 22 games for the first team before moving onto Figueirense. In 2006, Chicao began making an impact and became a regular part of the first team at Figueirense, playing 50 games and becoming a lethal force from set-pieces. He scored 12 goals in the league, and got noticed for this as well as for his stellar defending capabilities.

He helped Figueirense win the Santa Catarina State League title in 2006, before moving on to Serie B side, Corinthians. In his very first season, he helped the team win the 2008 Serie B title and earn promotion to the top division. The following season, he was part of the Copa do Brasil title winning team as well as the Campeonato Paulista 2009 title.

He led the rise to the top, for the Corinthians, by playing almost 200-games and scoring 38 times for the team. In 2011, the Corinthians won the Serie A title and Chicao continues to be a part of a growing team.
