A professional football player from Brazil, Alexandre Aparecido de Oliveira is a midfielder who plays out wide on the wings. An extremely versatile and creative player, Oliveira often plays as an attacking midfielder or even a second-striker, a role that suits his dynamic playing style. In 2000, Oliveira began his playing career with Atletico Paranaense.
After two seasons, he moved to Atletico Parana Clube for a year, before moving, in 2003, to Guarani Futebol Clube. After unsuccessfully trying to get into a regular starting spot, he moved back to Atletico Parana Clube in 2004 before, later in the same year, moving to Londrina Esporte Clube.
Again, failing to find regular playing time, he moved to Iraty Sport Club on a two-year contract but spent the second half of 2005 at Coritiba Futebol Club. Before the end of the season, Oliveira moved to the Middle-East, signing up with Al Wasl FC.
For the next six seasons, he was a regular at Al Wasl FC, playing regularly as an attacking midfielder and even a second striker, while darting into a winger’s role at times. After six seasons with the Al Wasl, Oliveira moved to Botafogo in 2011, looking to reproduce some of that new-found form into his Brazilian league stint.
