Thiago Xavier de Rosa, also known as Boiadeiro, is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender. A product of the youth academy at Madureira, Thiago would spend 2001 to 2004 playing for the youth team. In 2005, he would make his debut, carrying a lot of promise on his shoulders. Throughout 2005-06, Thiago would only play six games before being sold off to Olaria, in 2006.
However, before being sold, he was sent out on two loan moves, first to Bangu Atletico Clube in 2005 and then to Duque de Caxias, in 2006. The move to Olaria, like the two loan moves, didn’t result in too many appearances and Thiago wasn’t getting the playing time he needed.
In 2007, he moved to Volta Redonda and on his debut, scored a goal to earn his nick-name. Although he wouldn’t represent Volta Redonda in the league, he was picked to play in the Taca Rio competition, which is what he ended up doing.
In 2007, after his stint with Volta Redonda, Thiago moved to Ituano Futebol Clube where he played 17 games during his season-long stay. He moved to Bacabal Esporte Clube in 2008, where he won the Taca Cicada de Sao Luis. Later in the same year, Thiago moved to Paysandu Esporte Clube and played 16 games till the end of the year, scoring five times along the way.
In 2009, Thiago signed a three-year contract with Ceara Sporting Clube and even though he didn’t get too many league-starts, he was quite regular on the substitute bench and made a number of substitute appearances in 2009 and 2011. In 2010, however, Thiago was mostly out on loan to Itumbiara Esporte Clube and Ipatinga Futebol Clube.
In 2012, Thiago will be playing for Bahia Futebol Clube after his contract with Ceara comes to an end.
