Douglas Silva Delfino is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a midfielder. An excellent playmaker with the ability to control the pace of the game, Douglas began his playing career at the Gremio youth academy. In 2003-04, he made his breakthrough into the first team at Gremio, but failed to get much playing time.
Following an injury-layoff for the entire 2005 season, Douglas returned to playing action with Coritiba, signing a three-year deal with the team in 2006. He would help Coritiba win the 2007 Brazilian Serie B title as well as the Campeonato Paranaense de Futebol title in 2008.
At the end of his contract, in 2009, Douglas signed up with Ceara Sporting Club and was immediately sent out on loan to America de Natal in 2010. He returned to Ceara Sporting Club in 2011, looking to make a place for himself in the first team.
