Careca da Silva
Marcos Paulo da Silva, also known as Careca, is a professional Brazilian football player who plays as a midfielder. Careca broke into the first team, in 2007, as a 27-year old after plying his trade in the lower leagues – mostly going unnoticed. However, he failed to live up to his billing and ended up moving to Guaratingueta Futebol in 2008.
After spending another fruitless season at this tiny club, Careca did not have any silverware to show, but he did put in some impressive performances as a 28-year old and was eventually signed up by Ceara Sporting Club in 2009. The “youngster” still has a long way to go when it comes to playing at the highest level.
