Jancarlos de Oliveira Barros is a professional football player from Brazil who plays as a defender on the right flank, or a right-back. In 1999, Barros began his playing career with Fluminense, in the youth academy. After a single season at this major club, the team brought him into the first team squad for the beginning of the 2001 season. Over the next two years, Barros would slowly establish himself as one of the first names on the team sheet.

He helped the team win the 2002 Rio de Janeiro State league title in 2002.

Jancarlos went on a loan-spell in 2004, but that was after he had already notched up 30 appearances over two seasons, even scoring once along the way. His loan spell, to Juventude, saw him play 36 games and score once before Jancarlos was sold off to Atletico Paranaense.

A regular for the club over three seasons, Jancarlos played almost 80 leagues games, scoring 8 goals and helping the team win the Parana State League title in 2005.

He moved to Sao Paulo in 2008 and over the next season, played 14 games to help Sao Paulo win the Brazilian Serie A title. At the end of the season, he moved to Cruzeiro. He was still struggling to regain his form of old and managed only 11 appearances throughout the season, mostly as a substitute. He moved to Botafogo in 2010, and was immediately sent out to Esporte Clube Bahia on loan. After a year on his loan spell, he managed to get a full-time contract with Bahia.
