Cassio Alessandro de Souza is a professional Brazilian football player who plays as a centre-back. Having begun his playing career RS Futebol along with his twin-brother Rafael, Cassio’s five-year contract began in 2005 and with a loan spell. Immediately upon getting signed, Cassio was sent out on loan to Juvenutde from 2005 to 2007. In the latter half of 2007, he was sent to Avai Futebol Clube for a couple of seasons.
At the end of 2007, however, Cassio was sold to Traffic Group, a company that held his contract and sent him out to Avai Futebol Clube again, on loan. After the tea gained promotion to the top-flight, he was sent out to Desportivo Brasil. His transfer meant that playing time would be determined by another loan move, in 2008, to Avai Futebol Clube for another spell. In 2009-10, he moved to Fluminense, another club of which the Traffic Group was a partner.
After 15 games over two seasons, Cassio was sent back to Avai Futebol Clube in a 2-year deal starting in 2011.
