Clayton Wellington Goncalves dos Santos is a professional football player from Brazil who loves to play in his role as an attacking midfielder. Better known as Branquinho, Clayton began his playing career at Rio Preto, in 2006-07. After two seasons spent with the team on the reserves’ bench, Branquinho decided to move to Botafogo. Still struggling for a regular first team spot, a loan-move to Gremio Barueri went through in 2008 – his second club for the year.

However, Botafogo decided to call Branquinho back and the Brazilian went on to make his debut for the team, playing 19 games and scoring three times in the process. This caught the eye of Ceara Sporting Clube, who decided to bring Branquinho in to boost their attacking potential. After just one game, Branquinho moved to Esporte Clube Santo Andre, where he began showing the form that he had promised as a youth player.

In 19 games, Branquinho scored eight goals and was one of the leading members of the team. In 2010, the club decided to sell him off to Atletico Paranaense, where Branquinho became one of the stars of the team. In 31 appearances, so far, Branquinho has scored five times and even though his scoring form isn’t the same, Branquinho has showed a lot of his attacking potential in that hole behind the strikers.
