Renan Oliveira

A central midfielder known to do his job well, Renan Henrique Oliveira Vieira is one of most popular footballers in his home-country, Brazil. Having been a part of the youth setup at Atletico Mineiro, it was quite obvious that this young talent would quickly get into the first team fold. From 2006 to 2008, Oliveira continued his rise through the ranks of the junior side before breaking into the first team in 2008.

Despite his hype, Oliveira didn't get into the playing parts immediately. He had a couple of quiet seasons at the club, during which, Oliveira also went to play with the Brazilian Under-20 squad. Upon his return, Atletico Mineiro decided to send him out on loan for some playing time and experience. At Esporte Clube Vitoria, Oliveira grew through regular first-team exposure and returned to the first team, at Atletico Mineiro, as a substitute.

In 34 appearances for Atletico Mineiro, Oliveira has scored eight goals and is slowly cementing his place in the team.
