Zoumana Camara is a French football player who currently features for Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. He plays as a central defender.
Camara commenced his professional career with French club Saint-Etienne in 1996 and after two impressive seasons, was snapped up by Italian giants Inter Milan.
However, Camara failed to establish himself at Inter and after playing on loan for Empoli in 1999 and Bastia in 1999-2000, left the Nerazzurri for Olympique de Marseille.
In 2002 he joined Lens and was on their books until 2004, while also featuring for Leeds United on loan in 2003-04.
Camara returned to Saint-Etienne in a permanent contract in 2004 and rediscovered his confident and form in the following three years at his old club.
In 2007, Camara was signed by PSG on a four-year contract that was subsequently extended. He has played over 100 league games for the Parisian outfit.
Camara made his international debut for France on June 1, 2001 against Australia in their 1-0 defeat in the 2001 Fifa Confederations Cup. Till date, that is the 33-year-old’s only appearance for his country.
