Pablo Daniel Piatti is an Argentina international footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Valencia. He is a versatile player who can feature either as an attacking midfielder or as a striker.
Piatti made his debut in professional football for the Argentine giants Estudiantes in 2006 and featured in 47 league matches between then and 2008. His first match for Estudiantes came against Newell’s Old Boys in November 2006.
Piatti scored the second and winning goal for Diego Simeone’s side in that match and developed to become a very vital member of the Estudiantes camp that won that championship that year.
Piatti was signed by Almeria in the summer of 2008 and quickly established himself as one of the most promising young players in La Liga. His runs along the flanks and trickery earned him praise and adulation throughout and after scoring 20 goals in 101 La Liga, he joined Valencia, where he is now regarded as one of the most valuable members of the team.
Piatti was also a member of the Argentine side that won the 2007 World Youth championship in Canada and was the youngest player of the mix but was vital from the midfield in all the matches that he played. He made his debut for the senior side in 2011.
