Axel Bellinghausen

Born on 17 May 1983 in Siegburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Axel Bellinghausen is a football player from Germany, playing professional football currently for FC Augsburg in the 1.Bundesliga.

He commenced his career on 1988 with TuS 05 Oberpleis and moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen in 1993. He continued with the same till 1998. Five years later in 2001 he left Leverkusen to join Fortuna Düsseldorf where he became a football player professionally. He signed a deal with 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2005 and was made the captain of the team in March 2008. Axel made 96 appearances and scored 7 goals in four year of his career with 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He left the club in 2009 to join FC Augsburg, signing a two year contract.
