Mato Jajalo is a Croatian professional football player playing for 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga. This midfielder was born in 1988 in Jajce and has played for teams like Kickers Offenbach and Slaven Belupo in his youth years. Other than that, he was also a part of Siena, Croatia U20 and Croatia U21 teams.
Mato became a starter and was a key player in 2006-07 campaign, scoring 4 goals in 18 appearances. He got transferred to A. C. Siena team on 1st June 2009 and since October, he established himself to starting lineup at Siena. By the following year, in July 2010, he signed a one year loan deal with the team of 1. FC Koln, with a specific clause that the German club would buy out his contract. In June 2011, he signed a contract, which made him Koln player on a permanent basis.
With right to his international career graph, Jajalo represented Croatia team under many youth levels and was also a member as well as a captain of the Croatian national U-21 team.
