Rasmus Jönsson is a professional Swedish football player playing currently for VfL Wolfsburg in Bundesliga. The major teams that he has been a part of include Helsingborgs IF, VfL Wolfsburg and Sweden national football team.
As a striker, Jonsson got his breakthrough in 2008, scoring 4 goals in Allsvenskan along with Henrik Larsson in the team of Helsingborgs IF. On 29th August 2011, the team of Helsingborg IF confirmed that a deal has been agreed for Rasmus to join VfL Wolfsburg on a four year deal. Jonsson was sad to leave the team of Helsingborg, but slightly happy to take a vital step forward in his football career. Due to his contribution, the team of Helsingborg won the 2011 Allsvenskan.
On 11th September 2011, Jonsson made his Bundesliga debut against Schalke 04 team, assisting for second goal of Mario Mandzukic. Jonsson played for almost 90 minutes before getting substituted.
