Born on 8 April 1976 in Marl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Mathias Schober is a football player from Germany playing currently as a goalkeeper for FC Schalke 04.
Schober began his professional career in 1994 with FC Schalke 04 and continued with the same for 6 years in which he managed to make 25 appearances. In 2001 he moved to Hamburger SV and made three appearances. Meanwhile he got a call from Hansa Rostock and he joined promptly there. He played for seven years here and had made the maximum number of 191 appearances. In 2007 he returned to Schalke 04.
He has a honor of making the Schalke 04 enter the DFB-Pokal in 2010-2011 with his outstanding performance.
