Filippo Inzaghi is an Italian football player who plays for AC Milan and Italy’s national squad. He is known by Italian fans as Pippo.
He is an almost incredibly effective striker who has been with AC Milan since 2001. His outstanding play near the goal usually positions him in favorable positions from where he can just put out his foot to score.
Inzaghi came to glory with Atalanta in 1997 when he became the top scorer of Serie A with 24 goals and received the award Young Player of the Year. He formed a great attacking side in Juventus under Lippi when he partnered up with Del Piero and Zidane and won the Scudetto in 1997/98. Pippo scored 57 times on 120 appearences for Juve until he moved to AC Milan.
He became the top Italian goal scorer in European history with Milan when he beat Altobelli’s 39 goals in one season. With Milan he has won the Scudetto in 2003/04, the European Cup 2002-/03, the Italian Super Cup 2004, the European Super Cup 2003 and the Coppa Italia 2002/03.
