Ariel Miguel Santiago Ibagaza is an experienced Argentine footballer who currently features for the Spanish club Real Mallorca. He plays as an attacking midfielder and is also the captain of Real Mallorca.
Ariel Ibagaza is a graduate of the Argentine side Lanus and played for the senior side from 1994 to 1998. He then moved across oceans to Spain and Real Mallorca and featured for the Islanders for five impressive years in 143 league matches and scored 19 goals. He was then signed by Atletico Madrid and played 85 league matches for Atleti between 2003 and 2006.
In the summer of 2006, he was signed by Mallorca again and in spite of several interests from certain Premiership clubs, he decided to sign a new two-year contract with Mallorca in the summer of 2007.
