Mikel San José Dominguez

Mikel San Jose Dominguez is a young Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish club Athletic Bilbao. He plays as a central defender.

San Jose commenced his professional club football career at Premier League giants Liverpool but failed to play a single league match for the senior side. His playing time was restricted to the reserves and he was then farmed out on loan to Bilbao in the summer of 2009.

San Jose impressed at San Mames in the 2009-10 campaign, scoring one goal in 25 league matches. In the summer of 2010 he was signed on a permanent contract by the Basque giants on a five-year contract.

San Jose has represented Spain at the Under-19, Under-21 and Under-23 levels, but has yet to play a single match for the senior side.
