Oier Olazabal is a Spanish football player who currently features for the Spanish and European giants Barcelona. He plays as a goalkeeper and is said to be a long-term replacement of Victor Valdes.
Olazabal developed at Barca’s youth academy, joining La Masia when he was 16 years of age from Real Union. He made his debut in La Liga on May 17, 2009 against Real Mallorca in a 2-1 away defeat.
Since then Olazabal has been on the fringes of the first-team squad and continues to keep goal for the B team.
Olazabal made just one appearance for the Spain Under-19 squad, and that came in 2008.
