Julio Mercado

Julio Manuel Mercado Villon is a professional football player who is currently a center midfielder for Barcelona Sporting Club. Mercado was born on September 27, 1993 in Duran, Ecuador, and has been with Barcelona since the start of the 2011 season.

Mercado started his youth career when he was just 16 years old when he was signed by Municipal Canar. However, his time with Canar was limited as he was then asked by Barcelona to join their youth team. Although Mercado is still in the youth team, he has already played together with the senior team, and has so far appeared in one game for Barcelona.
