Francisco Nazareno

Francisco Efren Nazareno Mercado is a professional football player who was born on December 13, 1993 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Nazareno is best known for being a member of Barcelona Sporting Club.

Nazareno actually started his career as a youth football player in Barcelona Sporting Club in 2008. However, he stayed with the club for just one year before transferring to Independiente Jose Teran in 2009. After another year, Nazareno transferred to Deportivo Quito where he was soon chosen to play with the senior team of Deportivo Quito.

Nazareno played with Deportivo Quito’s senior team in 2010, but made only 3 appearances and no goals. In 2011, Barcelona Sporting Club offered Nazareno a contract and was soon playing with the club.
