Luis Andres Caicedo de la Cruz is a professional football player from Ecuador. Caicedo was born on May 12, 1979 in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, and is best known for being a midfielder of Barcelona Sporting Club.
Caicedo started his career during his youth as a member of Olimpico. However, a year into his contract, he was loaned to Olmedo for a year or so. When it was time for him to join the professional playing field, Caicedo was signed by Universidad Catolica, where he stayed for a year. During his time with the said club, Caicedo was able to play in 16 games before he transferred to Olmedo.
Caicedo’s time in Olmedo was his longest stint so far. He transferred to the club in 2000 and ended his contract in 2009. During that span of time, Caicedo was able to play in 290 games and score 22 goals. A year after his contract ended, Caicedo transferred to Macara where he was able to play in 36 games in a span of one year, and score four goals. Caicedo transferred to Barcelona in 2011.
Aside from his club career, Caicedo also has a rich international career, being a player of the national team of Ecuador since 2007.
