Pedro Larrea
Pedro Sebastian Larrea Arellano is a football player from Ecuador who was born on May 21, 1986. Larrea is best known for being a center midfielder of Barcelona Sporting Club in 2011.
Since the start of his professional career, Larrea has been a part of LDU Quito, a club which he started playing since 2003. Although he is often used as a central midfielder, and is often one of the starters when Patricio Urrutia is unable to play, Larrea has been flexible depending on the required playing position. Nevertheless, Larrea has succeeded in being a center midfielder, and was even a noted replacement for Urrutia during the 2008 Copa Sudamericana when the team played against Boca Juniors.
One of the highlights of Larrea’s career was when he played in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2008 where he was able to make two appearances as a substitute. Another memorable performance was when Larrea assisted Reinaldo Navia, unfortunately Navia missed his goal.
Over the years, Larrea has been playing strictly for LDU Quito and was loaned to Macara for a year. The year after his Macara stint, Larrea was approached by Barcelona and was offered a gig.
