Jose Luis Perlaza Napa is a professional football player who is best known for being a defender of Barcelona Sporting Club. Perlaza was born on October 6, 1981 in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, and is also known for participating in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, where he was a part of the Ecuador national team.
Perlaza kicked off his career as a member of Sport EStudiantes when he was just 15 years old. After the club Cinco de Agosto bought him, he was then loaned to Olmedo, Calvi F.C., and Audaz Octubrino.
During his stint with Olmedo, Perlaza was able to enjoy a successful season and make a good impression on the club. As a result, the club signed him on the following season, and was soon participating in numerous important games. In fact, he became the first choice center back of Olmedo, mainly due to his skill and size. Overall, Perlaza was able to play in a total of 203 games and score 2 goals all in all for Olmedo.
By April 2009, Perlaza was able to try out for Toronto FC but by May 2009, Perlaza was signed by Barcelona S.C., and has been with the club since then.
