David Luiz

David Luiz is a Brazil international football player who currently features for the English Premier League club Arsenal. He plays as a central defender and is considered as one of the best in the game.

Career

David Luiz commenced his professional club football career with Vitoria in 2006 and joined Benfica in 2007. He featured for the Portuguese giants until 2011, winning the league in 2010 and the League Cup in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

In January 2011 Chelsea signed David Luiz from Benfica for a transfer fee of 25 million euros and he was an instant hit in the Premier League. He went on to win the FA Cup and the Champions League with the Blues in 2011-12.

He moved to Paris Saint Germain in 2014, before returning to Chelsea in 2016. He switched across London to Arsenal in 2019.

David Luiz made his international debut for Brazil in 2010 and has featured in many matches for his country so far.
