Kevin Grosskreutz is a professional football player from Germany who plays as a wide striker. Having joined VfL Kemminghausen at an extremely young age, Kevin showed tremendous promise. He moved onto the youth squad at FC Merkur 07 Dortmund, where he stayed until 2002.

Kevin moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2002, for a single season at their youth team. He eventually ended his youth playing career at Rot Weiss Ahlen. By this time, Kevin had become one of the best players in the team, and was promoted to the senior team without hesitation. He played for the senior team at Rot Weiss Ahlen for two seasons, and was a regular member of the first team.

The following season, he decided to move onto Borussia Dortmund. This was, however, not before the team had gained promotion to the 2. Bundesliga, in 2008, and Kevin had gotten a place in the German Under-19 national team. His move to Dortmund was accompanied by a promotion to the Under-20 national team.

Kevin has become a regular member of the Dortmund first team and although used primarily as a substitute in his 59 appearances for the team, since 2009, Kevin is one of the most promising players to be playing for the German team.

In 2010, Kevin made his senior national team debut under coach, Joachim Loew, and has played three times for the national team.
