Mariano Pavone is an Argentine footballer who currently features for the Spanish side Real Betis. He plays as a striker and has earned one international cap for Argentina, against Chile in April 2007.
Mariano Pavone made his professional debut for one of Argentina's biggest clubs Estudiantes in 2000 and featured for them until the summer of 2007. He topscored in the Clausura 2005 with 16 goals and was selected by Argentine sports newspaper Ole as the best player in the 2006 Apertura tournament which was won by Estudiantes.
Mariano Pavone was actually on his honeymoon in the Spanish city of Seville when he was signed by Real Betis for 6.8 million euros. He has been pretty much a regular for Betis in the 2007-2008 season but has failed to score that many goals. He scored 8 goals in 29 league apperances for Betis in his debut season.
