Cristian Riveros> or Cristian Miguel Riveros Núñez is a Paraguayan football player who presently plays for Sunderland team. So far, he has made 54 international caps and scored 9 international goals. His first international match was against Ecuador in 2005.
The major teams that he was an active part of include Sportivo San Lorenzo in 2002 making 14 appearances, Tacuary from 2003 to 2005 with 21 appearances and 8 goals and Libertad from 2005 to 2007 with 48 appearances and 8 goals. Other teams that he was a part of include Cruz Azul, with 111 appearances and 17 goals and Sunderland with 6 appearances.
Cristian played in the first two matches at the 2006 World Cup in Paraguay playing efficiently on the left wing. He scored his international goal with 3-2 defeat to Chile. Moreover, he also played in the Copa America 2007 for the Paraguay national football team. In 2010, he played at the World cup and scored a second goal in a 2-0 victory over Slovakia team, set up by Paulo Da Silva, the current Sunderland defender.
Whilst with Libertad team, Cristian won at the Paraguayan Primera Division twice, in 2006 and in 2007.
