David Mulligan
David James Mulliganimage:David Mulligan |David Mulligan is a New Zealand international football player, who plays presently for the Auckland City FC team in the ASB Premiership. So far, he has made more than 180 appearances between 2000 and 2008 in the English Football League. He can play in both defensive and in midfield position. He scored 25 international caps and scored 3 goals.
Standing five feet eight inches tall, David played for NZ under 17 at the FIFA U-17 World Championship in 1999 and scored 2 goals in the two pool matches. These matches were held against the Poland and the United States team. Later on, he played for the under 23 team in 2004 Athens Olympics qualification match for the Oceania Football Confederation. But, the teal lost to Australia and could not get qualified for the Olympics.
By 2002, he made his All Whites debut in an international friendly match held against Estonia team. In 2009, he was named in the squad of the team to travel to the FIFA Confederations Cup and made 2 appearances against South Africa and against Spain. He even made a substitute appearance against the Iraq team. By 2010, David was named in the 23 men squad to compete at the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
