Ivan Robert Vicelichimage:Ivan Robert Vicelich |Ivan Robert Vicelich is a New Zealand football player who presently plays for Shenzhen Ruby F.C team as a defender. This team is under the Chinese Super League. Moreover, Ivan is also the most capped international player in his country.

His international debut was as a substitute in a 0-7 loss played against Uruguay team in 1995. He was included in the Confederations Cup finals match in 1999 in Mexico where he played in all of the three group games. Later on, he was also included in the Confederations Cup 2003 finals tournament held in France with 2 matches.

He announced his retirement in 2008 from international football though he was recalled to the national team by the head coach of the team, Ricki Herbert to play for the Confederations cup tournament. This match was held in South Africa to replace Ryan Nelsen, the captain of the team. Irrespective of his announcement, he continued to play for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Bahrain team. This match was the most prestigious match for this team for the second time in the history of the country.

Individually, Ivan was honored with the New Zealand Young Player of the year in 1994 and the New Zealand International Player of the year award in 2002. In 2008, he received the Oceania All Stars XI title and the Oceania Footballer of the Year in 2009.
