Athanassios Prittasimage:Prittas |Prittas is a Greek international football player and plays as a midfielder for Aris Thessaloniki FC team, which is a major Greek club. Having started his career in Poseidon Michanionas, Prittas also played for other teams like Xanthi from 1999 to 2005 and Iraklis from 2005 to 2007.
As he had a very good season with Aris FC team, he was included in the 23 men squad for the 2010 World Cup held in South Africa. At six feet, Prittas was born in Thessaloniki, in Greece.
With the Paseidon Michanionas team, he played for two seasons, 1997-1998 and 1998 to 1999. During this time, he made 34 appearances and scored 4 goals. From 1999 onwards, he started playing for Skoda Xanthi team till 2005 and made 97 appearances. He played for Iraklis team from 2005 to 2007 and made 41 appearances and two goals. From 2007 onwards, he is playing for Aris FC team and till date has scored one goal and made 41 appearances.
Along with third goalkeeper Michail Sifakis, Athanassios is the only goalkeeper to feature in 23 squad men list for the finals and selected by Otto Rehhagel.
