Alexandros Tzorvasimage:Alexandros Tzorvas|Alexandros Tzorvas is a Greek goalkeeper who at present plays for Panathinaikos team. With 11 international caps, he made his debut in international match against Italy in 2008. His jersey number allotted to him is 30. This goalkeeper was born in Karditsa in Greece, and is of six feet three inches tall. During his youth career, he played for Panathinaikos team.
At the FIFA World Cup 2010, Tzorvas was the first goalkeeper in all of the three group matches. Though he did make a terrible mistake during the match with Nigeria, he had a superb performance in his overall career. Whilst playing against Argentina, he made many saves from many clear cut Argentine chances, thus not allowing Lionel Messi to find the back of the net.
After the FIFA World Cup in 2010, Alexandros has been the choice by many other Italian clubs, who have expressed interest in signing him. The teams that he played for are the Panathinaikos (2001), Agios Nikolaos (2002), Panathinaikos (2003-05), Thrasivoulos (2006), Panathinaikos (2006-07) and OFI (2007-08).
