Sander Bernard Jozef Boschkerimage:Sander Boschker |Sander Boschker is a Dutch football player who presently plays as a goalkeeper for FC Twente team. Born in Lichtenvoorde in Netherlands, he made his professional debut with FC Twente in 1989-90 and appeared once with the team.
Though he never got a chance to make an appearance for the Netherlands till 2010, he got included in the provisional squad of Marco van Basten for the UEFA Euro in 2008. After a friendly match against Ukraine on 21st May, his manager released him as he was the fourth choice goalkeeper.
After 2009-10 club campaign, this goalkeeper was selected for the provisional squad of 30 players for the FIFA World cup 2010. It was on 27th May 2010, that Bert van Marwijk, the team manager announced that the player will be a part of the final squad of 23. This way, Boschker appeared in a friendly match played in Rotterdam with a 4-1 victory against Ghana. At half time itself he replaced Michel Vorm and due to this, he became the oldest player to have made his debut and play for the national team.
Sander was with the Twente team from 1989 to 2003 and during that time, he made 356 appearances. From 2003-04, he played for Ajax and from 2004, he again rejoined Twente and so far has made 187 appearances.

Sander played with Twente team and during 2000-01, his team won the Dutch cup. The team also won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2006 and the Dutch League in 2009-10. With the Ajax team, Sander received the Dutch League title in 2003-04. This team was also the runner up at the FIFA World Cup in 2010.
