Demy Patrick René de Zeeuwimage: Demy de Zeeuw | Demy de Zeeuw is a Dutch football player who presently plays for Eredivisie club, Ajax along with the Netherlands national football team. This defensive midfielder is also a good tackler and a gifted ball passer. Having played previously for teams like AGOVV, AZ and Go Ahead Eagles (2002 to 2005), this defensive midfielder was a key player for AZ squad (2005-2009) that won the 2008-09 Dutch league, which was the first championship title for the team in 28 years. After this match, Demy was rewarded with a move to Ajax team.
Demy was already a member of the Dutch squad team in 2006 that won the UEFA under 21 championship and was eligible to represent the Netherlands Antilles. Usually playing as a defensive midfielder, he competed with opponent teammates like Orlando Engelaar, Mark van Bommel and also Nigel de Jong. With his impressive performance for AZ led to his international debut for the Dutch team in the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifier against Slovenia in 2007.
