Nenad Milijaš> is a Serbian international football player playing as a midfielder for the Wolverhampton Wanderers, a English Premier League club. Standing six feet and two inches tall, Nenad made his international debut in 2008 for Serbia with a 2-0 victory over the Faroe Islands team in the qualifier 2010 World cup. In his fourth appearance itself, he made his debut goal with 6-1 rout of Bulgaria in a friendly match in 2008. He later on made his first competitive goal with netting the winner from the penalty spot and defeated Austria with 1-0 the next year.
With this qualification campaign, his team was qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 finals in South Africa, and he became the regular in central midfield, paired with Dejan Stankovic, the captain of the team. Later on, he was selected in the final squad for the match, which were their first World Cup final match against Ghana in the opening game. Nenad had previously represented Montenegro and Serbia at under 21 level and had appeared in the side making semi finals of the European under 21 Championship in 2006 in Portugal.
Career highlights
Some of the recognized honors which Nenad achieved till date were the Serbian Superliga in 2005-06 and in 2006-07 along with Serbian cup in 2005-06 and in 2006-07 with the club.
Individually, he got recognition with the Serbian SuperLiga Player of the year in 2008-09, Serbian Superliga All Star Team in 2008-09 and the most valuable player in 2008-09.
