Jesus Alberto Datolo is a professional football player from Argentina, who was born on May 19, 1984 in Carlos Spegazzini, Argentina. Datolo is best known for being the midfielder of the club RCD Espanyol of La Liga.
During his youth, Datolo was already an active football player starting with his time playing for Canuelas from 2000 to 2002. He then transferred to Banfield in 2002 until the end of his youth career. Since his last few years of youth club playing was in Banfield, he was absorbed by the Banfield first team in 2004 and stayed there from then on until 2006. During his time playing with the team, he was able to participate in 41 matches and scored 6 goals.
Soon after his time with Banfield, Datolo transferred to Boca Juniors where he spent 3 years with the club, participating in 67 matches and scored 4 goals. By 2009, Datolo made the move to Napoli, where he played in 22 matches before he was transferred on loan to Olympiacos. Since the loan did not last long, Datolo was soon loaned to Espanyol for 2010 to 2011.
Datolo has also been a part of the Argentine national team since 2009. He made his international debut for his country during a match against Russia that was held in Moscow in August 2009 However, it has been said that his most competitive goal scored was during a match against Brazil, although they were not victorious in their feat.
