The Primera B Nacional division, or simple the Nacional B, in Argentina is the second highest level of football in the country. Organized by the Argentine Football Association, the league includes members from across the country to form the second tier of football.

The league follows a two competition format with the Clausura and Apertura Championships determining the victors at the end of the season. The Apertura Championships, or the “Opening” championships are played between August to December. The names are such to mimic the league format in the Northern Hemisphere where August marks the beginning of the league championship and June marks the end.

Clubs near the Buenos Aires area participate in a competition known as the Primera B Metropolitana, the winner of which makes it to the Nacional B Division. Teams from other parts of the country participate in another tournament known as the Torneo Argentino A division.
