Italian powerhouse AC Milan have confirmed that they are not interested in signing the Bulgarian international striker Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Berbatov has been tipped to bow out of White Hart Lane this summer after not even remotely trying to eclipse his intension to play for a bigger club but so far the only confirmed official bid has come from Spurs’ Premier League rivals Manchester United who have admitted that they have indeed made an offer to the north London side.
But Milan have now denied that they are interested in signing the striker which effectively implies that Berbatov might just have to stay on at White Hart Lane next season. Spurs are reluctant to sell Berbatov to Man United while FC Barcelona shall go for the player only if they are able to dispose of Samuel Eto’o.
Milan executive Ariedo Braida told the press last night: “Berbatov? Absolutely not. Our market is closed.”
