Outstanding young Brazil international Neymar has revealed his excitement at signing with Spanish giants Barcelona.
The 21-year-old starlet was confirmed as a Barca signing on Sunday morning and he said he was excited to play alongside some of the world’s best footballers such as Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta.
“The meaning of signing for the best team in the world has not dropped yet,” Neymar said.
“It will be an honour to play there. To be able to play with Messi will be a dream … with him, Xavi, Iniesta, them all.”
Neymar is expected to fly to Spain on June 3 or 4 where he’ll be officially unveiled by Barcelona.
The attacker played his final game for Santos on Sunday and said it was an honour to play for the club, where he netted 138 goals in 230 appearances, but insisted he’d be back.
“It is a satisfaction, an honour to have been at this team. This is just a ‘till later’, I will be back,” he said.
