A late Gylfi Sigurdsson strike spares Tottenham Hot Spurs bid to remain in the top four. Due to Chelsea’s victory over Sunderland, Spurs have moved down into fourth place equal on points but with a worse goal difference after drawing 2-2 with Everton.

Emmanuel Adebayor scored in the 35th second of the match to give his team the advantage. He was assisted by Jan Vertonghen who is amidst a very purple patch in form having netted three times and assisted a couple of goals in the last month.
Phil Jagielka the Evertonian equalized soon after in the 15th minute. Both the teams went into the break level after an enthralling action packed first half.
A magnificent piece of individual brilliance by Kevin Mirallas saw him give the Toffees a goal in the second half making it 2-1 in their favour.
The game progressed and it looked likely that Andre Villas Boas’ men were going to endure another defeat taking the last couple of months from bad to worse for them.
