Barcelona caretaker boss Jordi Roura has labelled Lionel Messi incredible after his double took his tally for the Catalans to 301 goals and guided them to a come-from-behind 2-1 win at Granada in La Liga on Saturday.
Granada had gone ahead, but Messi hit a brace to earn Barcelona the points as well as plenty of praise after another milestone.
“He’s broken another personal record,” Roura said. I don’t think he had scored against Granada. I also think that his 301 goals in official matches is incredible.”
Roura was also delighted the Spanish leaders had been able to fight back after going behind.
“We suffered. It’s logical. We knew how difficult it is to win in this stadium. Granada are a very physical side and they had nothing to lose,” he said.
“The match became complicated (after they scored) and, once again, (my) players dug deep.”
“We fought back from an adverse scoreline and the fact that we won three important points makes us happy.”
