Fans at the Liberty Stadium will see Swansea City play Arsenal in a third round FA Cup clash. The game is scheduled to be played on January 6, 2013 at 1330 GMT.
Swansea in spite of losing two influential players and their manager last summer, they have flourished well under their new Manger, Michael Landrup.
They have by far surpassed expectations of the fans having lost only six games in the League and will play Chelsea in the Carling Cup semi-final in the next week. Swansea new boy Michu has proved to be a great sensation becoming a fan favorite. He has scored 14 goals and will be looking to add to his tally the fixtures to come.
With quite a few games big games expected to be played over the next month or so, Landrup will be looking to rotate the squad as much as he can. Swansea will have a full strength squad except for N Taylor who is expected to miss out on the rest of the season.
Arsenal will be looking to give a few squad players a run and taste of Cup action as Wenger will be saving his troops for a month of big games. Arsenal is going to play Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the month of January.
Mannone, Frimpong, Santos, Fabianski and Diaby all will miss out on this match due to injury. This game will see the Gunners looking to gain revenge over the Swans as the Swans beat them in league earlier this season.
Walcott has been flying for the Gunner’s and contract extension talks are going on between the player and the club. Arsene Wenger has stated that he would like to keep him at the club.
