France beat Italy by two goals to one in a thrilling game that was played at the Ennio Trdini Stadium in Italy.
The visitors came from behind to score two goals and ensure that they were able to down their rivals Italy, who dominated most of the game.
There were not a lot of chances created by either team throughout the game but it was Italian Stephan El Shaarawy who scored the opener in the thirty fifth minute. He justifiably scored the first goal after picking up a Ricardo Montolivo’s through-ball. He displayed the scoring ability by slipping a first-touch finish through the legs of Lloris.
France replied within minutes through Mathieu Valbuena who levelled the game. Valbuena held off the challenge of Verratti on his way to the by-line before cutting inside of Andrea Barzagli. Italian veteran Giorgio Chiellini was slow on the tackle after which Mathieu Valbuena sent in a curling a shot into the far corner to complete an extraordinary strike.
At half time both the sides looked comfortable with a draw as none of them pushed hard for the win.
It was in the middle of the second half that an inspired substitution by the French manager who brought on Bafetimbi Gomis who ended up scoring the winner in the sixty seventh minute.
The game was mainly fought in midfield where neither of the teams capitalized on the counter. It wasn’t until late in the game that the Italian forwards cams close to equalizing the game with
Giovinco of them striking the cross bar and the other missing narrowly. After an exciting game France left Parma with a victory in the last international fixture in this calendar year.
