New Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says star playmaker Luka Modric can leave as long as offers from interested clubs match their valuation of him.
The Croatian star has attracted interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United this off-season, however Spurs are believed to value him worth around £35 million.
Villas-Boas insisted the club wouldn’t be selling him for anything less than their determined price tag.
“There has been continuous interest from three different clubs,” Villas-Boas said. “But it’s important for Tottenham to hold onto their rights. His situation will continue as it is until the price is right.”
The ex-Chelsea boss added: “It’s important to understand his feelings. We have been speaking and I understand his point and he understands the club’s point… It’s a difficult situation for the club but we have been co-operative by openly saying we are willing to listen to offers.
“But the offer has not been met to what the chairman wants. If that is met, there won’t be any problems.”
