RVP's Arsenal Future To Be Resolved ASAP

Arsenal have confirmed star striker Robin Van Persie wants to sit down and discuss his long-term future at the club “as soon as possible”.
The Dutchman, who returned to club training on Monday, decided prior to Euro 2012 not to sign an extension with the Gunners after disagreements over the club’s future direction, meaning he only has one more contracted season at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal endured a difficult period late in the August transfer deadline last year when Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri left, and the Gunners and Van Persie appear keen to avoid a similar scenario.
“Robin returned to training on Monday as expected and made it clear he wants to sit down and resolve the matter of his future, either way, as soon as possible,” an Arsenal club spokesperson told *The Sun. “No date has yet been agreed for that meeting.”
Van Persie, who isn’t part of the club’s online catalogue this pre-season, scored a league-high 30 goals last campaign and is reportedly worth £30 million.
