New Mancini Deal For City Dynasty
Article info

Roberto Mancini has penned a new deal with English Premier League champions Manchester City keeping him at the club until 2017.

The Italian, who guided the Sky Blues to the 2011 FA Cup and last term’s league title, said he was delighted to ink the contract.

“I am delighted to be able to give all of my efforts to Manchester City for a further five years,” Mancini said in a statement.

“The opportunity which exists to build on our recent success is enormous. Manchester City is a fantastic football club, from the owner, chairman, Board and the executive team, through to the players, staff and fans.

“I am very much looking forward to the challenges and excitement ahead.”

City said the decision would allow Mancini to focus on building a dynasty for the Sky Blues.
