Blanc Slams Nasri's Journo Bout
Article info

Les Bleus coach Laurent Blanc and France Football Federation president Noel Le Graet have slammed the behaviour of Samir Nasri after he launched an expletive-laden rant at a journalist after their Euro 2012 exit.

The Manchester City man and a French journalist exchanged foul-mouthed words in the mixed zone after France’s 2-0 loss to Spain, with Nasri reportedly going too far.

Nasri was allegedly asked by the reporter for a quote after the game, but he responded: “You are looking for shit, you are looking for trouble.”

The journalist is understood to then have told Nasri to “get lost”, prompting the player to invite him to come “come with me and we will settle it outside”.

Nasri then launched an expletive-laden rant, before concluding, “there, like that you can now write that I am badly brought up”.

However, Blanc was furious with Nasri’s behaviour stating it was disrespectful and unfortunate.

“It’s a lack of respect toward the journalist,” Blanc told Telefoot. “I told (Nasri) what I thought of it and what I would have done in his place. It’s very unfortunate.”

He added: “There is a problem between Nasri and the press. That’s the truth. The comments are very violent and it’s been proven that they were said.”

Meanwhile, Le Graet added: “I will ask the journalist to meet with me, but this is intolerable. I understand that there are negative reactions. Samir is on the edge, he wants to do well, but he cannot control his impulses.”
