Juve Determined To Be 'Extraordinary'

Juventus boss Antonio Conte insists his side has destiny in its own hands and is fully focused on securing the Italian Serie A title after Sunday’s 4-0 win over struggling Novara.

Mirko Vucinic’s double was sandwiched between goals from Marco Borriello and Arturo Vidal, as Juve held their four-point buffer ahead of second-placed AC Milan with three games to play.

Conte’s men are now only a few games away from the title, as well as an ‘extraordinary’ undefeated season.

“We’re feeling good, the team is determined and we want to do something extraordinary,” Conte said following Sunday’s win. “We are approaching our goal in exactly the right manner.”

He added: “We know that we are masters of our destiny.”

Juventus will take on Lecce (midweek), Cagliari and Atalanta in their final three matches, while Milan meet Atalanta, Internazionale and Novara.

Conte continued: “When people talk about Juventus there is always someone trying to put a spanner in the works.

“In this campaign, in which we are still unbeaten, there has always been a but. First it was the draws that were brought up, then they spoke about the lack of goals from our forwards.

“But this just gave us extra drive to succeed, which together with our day-to-day improvement as a team, is helping us achieve something extraordinary. Wednesday will be the game of our lives.”
